A sweat-dripping office affair is taboo, especially when he’s the high-powered, silver-fox CEO. It’s even more taboo when the legs he has high in the air belong to me, his intern.
His lips were passionately on mine within minutes of insulting me during the interview. Did I mention our meeting was arranged by his daughter, Zoey–who happens to be my best friend?
Zane is my gorgeous boss, and he always gets what he desires. When I’m not helping with spreadsheets, he insists on spreading me out in the sheets.
He’s a loving single dad to Zoey and I’m her best friend. The last thing we want is to hurt her, but I can’t say no when he gives me that piercing look across the mahogany desk.
There’s one more lurking problem. Zane’s ex-wife, Melanie, is a vengeful woman with eyes like a hawk. She’s ready to pounce any chance she gets to ridicule and shame him. So what do you think happens when she barges into the bathroom and discovers my pregnancy test?
All I want is a chance at love. Unfortunately, fate decided that love won’t come as easy as it does for Zane to drop my apprehensions–and panties.
The Intern Crush is a standalone, age-gap, workplace romance between a mature hottie billionaire boss and his virgin college intern.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Since I am a romance junkie, I love to write about love in many forms. I especially focus on romance stories that are not necessarily commonplace. However, it's the common elements of relationship challenges and joy that we can all relate to, regardless of the unique details of each love story. The Intern Crush involves a workplace affair with taboo elements of an age-gap couple and best friend's father sub-plot.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The FMC, Selena, is a college coed pursuing an internship in the journalism field. I wanted to create a character that is naive and wide-eyed to the larger world that is in contrast to the small town upbringing that she has known.
It's a common situation that many of us face in our young adult lives. Selena's character embodies the excitement of that first step into independence, while showcasing her vulnerabilities and inexperience. She will soon learn that life lessons can come quickly and you can never truly prepare for them.
