How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I think my writing is different because the characters are just as important as the plot. I like to give characters a back story and give them a journey to go through. But at the same time there is plenty of action and a few heart stopping moments.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Read a LOT!
Write a LOT!
Find reliable beta readers. You need people who like your genre for the most part. It also does the ego good to let a very discerning editor pull apart your writing every once in a while.
Research before you decide on how to proceed. If you would like to self publish read about the best ways to do that. If you would like to submit to agents, do the same.
Remain patient. It’s a long game. It takes a lot of practice to find your tone, and it takes a long time to sell your work.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The Fractured is a novella based on my science fiction series “The Blemished” which is a YA dystopia inspired by my interest in dystopic societies and cloning. I enjoy writing complex female heroines and when writing The Blemished had a fondness for the secondary character – Elena Darcey.
So I decided to give Elena her own story. It is a short yet epic story of survival, determination and heartbreak.
