Silly Uncle Willy is back! Let the fun begin.
The Cat, the Rat, and the Hat Wearing Bat, the hilarious second book in the Bedtime Stories with Uncle Willy series is as silly as it gets.
Silly Uncle Willy’s wild
imagination has a whole town rhyming all
the time. They buy books at Hook’s and
Steaks at Jake’s. Milly plays with Lily and
Fred with Ted. But the funniest of all is the
effect the rhyming has on the town’s animals.
Perfect reading for bedtime with a smile!
Recommended for kids ages 3 to 8

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have always enjoyed reading and writing and instilled this love in my children. I have seen the incredibly positive impact it had on their years in grade school, high school, and now in college. My anacdotal experience reinforces the myriad of findings that endorse early introduction of the written word to kids.
The joy of reading and writing the love I have for children inspired me to write stories that entertain, teach values, and increase language skills.
Smiles on children's faces, in a nutshell, is my inspiration.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Uncle Willy, my storyteller, is a fictional character of an uncle that I believe many children wish for. I did. A loving, silly, fun, and articulate dream uncle. So I decided to share my own fantasy with the kids who read my story.

Silly Uncle Willy
Travels far and near
He drops by for a visit
Twice or thrice a year
Last time he told us stories
Of a town called LaRhyme
A town where the citizens
Are rhyming all the time
What in the world
Say the tourists each time
When they travel and visit
The town of LaRhyme
Everything rhymes there
Wherever one looks
They buy toys at Joy’s
And get books at Hook’s
The children all go
To their favorite doctor
Her name is of course
Elizabeth Proctor
And who would you think
Is their school’s only teacher
You’re right if you guessed
It’s Abraham Preacher
—-
And so it continues with people and animals who befriend only those whose name rhymes with their own.
One more excerpt:
Because everyone knows
At LaRhyme it depends
On rhymes to decide
Which pair may be friends
What in the world
Does a meowing cat
Have at all in common
With a cheese-loving rat
Are they, friends
Can it be?
Turn the page
And you will see.
Every day rain or shine
The cat and the rat
Meet up in the morning
And sit down for a chat
Together they think
Of more words they can rhyme
Like a hat wearing bat
And they laugh every time
Beautifully illustrated hysterically funny images accompany the text.
Enjoy.
