What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My inspiration for this book goes hand in hand with my inspiration for the series. It’s to get kids to read. I want to make kids (and anyone willing to read my books) feel good about their time spent. This spawns from a troubled youth and the inability to read and focus for so many years in my life. I would like to help prevent that in other people… get them excited to flip to the next page.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
These characters mostly represent something in my life, whether it be an emotion, a person, or a memory. They each represent something special to me, though some are thought of simply because they seemed to fit. One of my favorite characters in this series is a character that comes in later named Madcap. He’s a reflection of how I see myself and some of my close friends embodied into one being.
