Tails Along the Trails: Walking Adventures with Dogs is a memoir of walking adventures with and without dogs. Many of the walks were volkswalks completed as member of the American Volkssport Association, www.ava.org
Becky Corwin-Adams and her husband, Randy, are members of a walking club, the American Volkssport Association. With the “help” of their dogs, they complete a 10-kilometer (six-mile) walk almost every weekend, but that’s only the beginning of their walking adventures. Be it in the city or on the trail, as a family with seven rescued cocker spaniels, the Adams walk a lot. In this book, you can join them on their journeys as they discover new places, have exciting adventures, and make lifelong friends.
Targeted Age Group:
Teen – Adult
Only one other book has been written about volkssporting and that was in 1976. That book was about the history of the sport. My book describes people I have met and places I have visited while walking.

When Becky isn’t reading or writing, she enjoys crafting and walking with her cocker spaniels. She has had dozens of her original craft patterns published in various craft magazines.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?I wanted to write a book about my walking adventures as a way to promote the American Volkssport Association. Hopefully, more people will become interested in walking for fitness as a result of reading my book.
