What if our dreams existed on a separate plane of existence?
Rainier, the self-anointed ‘God of Dreams’, rules over the dream realm – a place where dreams from all realities occur. Rainier and those in his favour are able to harness the secrets of the dream realm to not only spy on their rivals, but also influence their thoughts and feelings through their dreams.
Theodore Moore, a young man living in present-day Manhattan, wakes up in an unfamiliar place. At first, he believes himself to be dreaming, but as the days pass by, he gradually begins to worry that he is not dreaming at all, but is in an entirely different realm of being. Now stuck in the mysterious land of Utrudaf, Theo must learn to navigate the dangers of a ruthless world filled with magic, war, politics, and of course, copious amounts of wine – all to find his way home. But things are never so simple. The God of Dreams is on Theo’s tail, confused and furious about Theo transcending from his reality into another. The events set in motion are destined to wreak havoc across Utrudaf… and much further beyond.
Sun Cream For Bees is the first entry in the Dream Farmers series, and the story is told from nine diverse alternating points of view.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I had a lot of different concepts and stories floating around in my head. I initially began writing a Sci-Fi novel, spent a couple of months on planning, and then dropped it. I repeated this process with three or four other projects before finally settling on what is now 'Sun Cream For Bees'. I decided to take aspects from all of the projects I had been working on previously, and I combined them all into this one book somehow.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Extensive overthinking and sleepless nights. I'd lay awake in bed at night and make notes on my phone. I ended up creating my own mini-encyclopedia containing all of my characters, what they look like, their fears, dreams, strengths, weaknesses, etc… It was important to me that no character was inherently 'good' or 'evil' – they should all be capable of both.
