What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I initially learned about the 1941 crime while reading a republished article in a magazine during my wait for a doctor's appointment. My obsession with the victim, Leila Adele Welsh, began 13 years ago from that article to the last edit of my book. Since her case went unsolved, I felt her story needed to be retold. Leila grew up in an area where I used to live. We both also graduated from the same university.
