Fourteen scary stories with surprise endings from my five horror story collections, includes tales of a vampire, boogeyman, witch, devil, mummy, and other monsters and maniacs. For readers who enjoy a midnight stroll through a graveyard, or a defunct insane asylum, or a dark forest where the children of the night lurk, the wind howls, and the wolfbane blooms under the full moon. Don’t read this book if limbs being hacked off make you queasy.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
As a boy, I read a story entitled The October Game by Ray Bradbury in an Alfred Hitchcock anthology paperback. That story not only chilled me to the bone, but it inspired me to write horror stories of my own. I submitted my first short story, Black As Night, to my high school English teacher. Knowing she hated scary stories and would be grading it for the next day’s class at night, I included the following note at the end of the story for additional effect, “Now, Mrs. Tisinger, as you sit streaking my paper with scarlet, someone could be watching you through the window. Are you alone?”.
From those humble beginnings, I have written 106 short stories, mostly horror, with surprise endings. I’m about to publish my sixth compilation.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My stories are plot driven. Once I have the plot, inspired from many sources, such as a writing prompt, a title, something read, or seen on TV, the characters fall easily into place.
About the Author:
I have written 106 short stories, mostly horror, with surprise endings. I’m about to publish my sixth compilation. I’ve seen more movies than anyone I’ve ever known and enjoy most genres, but a good horror film has always been my favorite. My dream would be to see some of my stories in a movie or a TV show. My videos have over 1,200,000 hits on You Tube.
