What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This book was inspired by memories of crazy things I used to do as a young adult, as I fumbled with finding my own sense of person. It is also inspired by my own relationship with my father, as well as my recent family research, and just how it completes a person to know about their past family history.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
They are based on a little bit of me, and a little bit of who I wish I was when I was younger.

“Really, this role reversal is quite sweet, but you may stop now.” Didn’t Norrie realize she was getting on my nerves?
“But, Mom, this is just not healthy!” She practically rolled her eyes at me, such an adolescent reaction, for someone who thought she was going to talk some sense into me.
I could feel people in the restaurant looking at us. It was all fine, until Norrie mentioned that thing about just, needing to know. She needed to know who her biological father was, needed to know how he would react, to see how he looks, and to learn all she could about her family and ancestry. That’s when I told her I needed to know.
