What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I love writing romance novels and I had all of these ideas for some short stories swimming around in my head, so I just put pen to paper and let the words flow.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Some of the characters in the short stories have elements of people that I actually know and I just build on them from there.

Trey laughed and took a long drink from his beer. He looked pointedly at Adam and said, “Why didn’t you tell me that Josie moved to town and how much she’s grown up?”
Adam shrugged a shoulder.
Trey smiled at his friend, “Oh, I see,” he said.
“You see what?”
“You want to keep the delectable Josie all to yourself. You’re a sly one, Adam.”
Adam frowned at his friend and said, “I’m not keeping Josie all for myself. I just don’t want her to get hurt. She is not like the women you’re used to.”
“What the hell does that mean?”
Adam sighed. “Look, Trey, Josie’s a nice girl.”
“And I’m a nice guy, Adam, or have you forgotten that?”
“No, of course not,” he stated as he sighed again. “It’s just that Josie likes living a small town life. And for the past two years you’ve been living a fast life in Los Angeles.”
“Okay, I understand what you’re saying,” Trey said.
Adam was relieved as he continued, “Besides, you’re only here for a visit. There’s really no point in starting anything with Josie if you’re leaving soon.”
Trey shrugged.
About the Author:
Annette Evans (nee Ludwig) is an indie author. As a child, she loved to read Nancy Drew Mysteries. In her teen years, she fell in love with the romance genre. She counts earlier Danielle Steel novels, Judith McNaught, and Linda Lael Miller among some of her favorite romance authors.
She began writing poetry in her late teen years and two of her poems have been published in an anthology book. As much as she likes to write poetry, her heart lies in creating stories, so she quickly turned to writing fiction. She wrote her first novella when she was 18. She currently has 4 books published.
She lives on the picturesque eastern shore of Virginia with her husband, their youngest daughter, and three very spoiled dogs. In her spare time (which there isn’t a whole lot of!), she enjoys reading (love romantic suspense, thrillers, and post-apocalyptic fiction), writing, playing cards & board games, and spending quiet moments with her husband on the enormous deck he build adjacent to their home.
