Unlike TV sitcoms, real-life parenting leaves no room for commercial breaks. This book strips away common misconceptions about parenthood and focuses instead on its sometimes scary, sometimes stranger-than-fiction realities. Treion Muller, author of Mom Rules and Dad Rules, explains how to navigate parenting ordeals like toddler tantrums, family trips, and kids sporting events in practical ways, all while keeping your sanity and sense of humor intact.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was born and raised in South Africa by a single mother. We were very poor and life was hard, but taught me many valuable lessons. After my father left the family when I was seven. I promised myself I would never do that to my family, and that I would try to be a good dad. Ever since then I have been observing what fathers do, reading books, and working at being a better father, one day at a time.
Now I am the father of 5, and I realize two things:
1. We cannot learn to be a good parent by watching TV
2. We need to stop watching other peoples reality and start living our own.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Real life. I not only share stories from my parenting adventures but from over three dozen other reality parents as well.
