What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I love Savannah and Tybee Island and wanted to share what I have learned about these locations. I’m a travel writer and have written quite a few articles about these areas and thought I would pull them together with some new information, including some local recipes and share it all via an ebook.

Keep driving through Georgia until you reach the Atlantic Coast and you will find yourself in one of the most beautiful cities in the south. You will probably notice the Spanish moss first. Draped over the live oak trees that fill the 22 squares and lovely historic neighborhoods in Savannah, Georgia, it hangs in ragged festoons from each of the branches and contributes to the relaxed and slightly spooky mood of this southern city. Or you might notice some of the beautifully restored homes, many of which are hundreds of years old and have witnessed the American Civil War and the original settlement of the city. Or possibly you will notice the ballast stone street that runs along the river, paved with rounded stones tossed out from the cargo ships that had used them as ballast on their long sea voyages.
Drive further into the heart of the city and you will begin to catch glimpses of the Savannah River winding its way through the city beside River Street where cotton warehouse established 200 years ago have been converted to quaint shops, restaurants and beautiful hotels overlooking the river.
