What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
While going through my daily routine, and facing some stressful and overwhelming moments, I noticed my dogs were so relaxed. They live in each moment and enjoy life with unconditional love. I realized as I observed them how I could show others how important and simple it could be if we lived life like them and learned to enjoy the moment and stay in a place of happiness.

Watch how often during your day (if you have pets) your Furry babies rest and relax.
I know you’re probably saying, that is because they have nothing else to do. And what’s even more interesting is that pets are like people, some are active, hyper, and others are very calm. But they all follow this behavior instinctually.
Here are some suggestions for managing stress, finding peace, finding balance, and effectively teaching yourself how to relax…
1. Let’s Meditate- Yes, this takes practice and time. You will need to find a peaceful place with no distractions. A place where it’s comfortable. I started Meditating and really wanted my husband to get on board. Well, my husband gets up at 4am and goes to sleep at 9pm. Trying to fit Meditation time in was a little tricky, especially trying to keep him from falling asleep so he could get the most out of it! We took a trip to Tucson with some friends of ours. We met an amazing Medium/Healer. She had a reflection room with pillows, incense, and calming music. Surprisingly, it really helped Dennis feel at ease. He was so receptive to her words and the whole experience. I was really surprised and happy about it, so I decided to recreate the “feeling” in our bedroom. I bought big pillows, incense, candles, and crystals. I brought him in for his “surprise” and he loved it! Create your happy place/space! You can follow whatever type of Meditation works for you- there is Guided, Music, Sound, Mantra, or Silence. Try them all and see what resonates or vibrates with you. I recently learned of a “Sound Bath” meditation from my daughter’s childhood girlfriend. This type of Meditation is a constant sound (the ideal healing frequency is 432 hertz ) provided by drumming, tuning forks, gongs, bowls, chimes or singing. You may see that you like a variety and everyday will be a different preference based on your thoughts and emotions. It’s also dependent upon your level of concentration, so experiment and enjoy the experience. The most important thing is not to expect anything, but to just clear your mind and let thoughts and visions come. I’ve had some very interesting visions and signs during meditation that ended being significant indicators of where my path is leading. Don’t be hard on yourself if you only get colors and swirls, you are still focusing on the clearing of your mind and the relaxation of the process.
2. Stop! Just Stop! – When you are in that moment in your day when you feel like a tea kettle ready to whistle, just…stop! Breathe…1….2….3…. When you clear your mind for even a few seconds, you let oxygen circulate and calm your circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems. I remember back when I was in counseling (in my previous marriage) and my ex-husband was instructed to count to 10 whenever he was about to react in a violent or negative way. The human brain is hardwired to react to situations instinctually, mostly for protection of our wellbeing or physical selves, and also based on programming we’ve received. Examples would be our upbringing, memory of events, or things we’ve witnessed or felt previously. There really is a science behind taking moments to re-evaluate a feeling or situation. The time you take to clear your initial programming is invaluable to the behavior, thoughts, and actions that follow. Thoughts become habits. When you think or do something three times, it becomes a belief that then becomes a habit. You mustn’t tell yourself, “I don’t have time, I’m too busy to stop, I have too much on my plate”. We all have the same 24 hours in a day, remember that you choose what you do with each one. Make them count for your wellbeing and peace of mind so you can shine your light and stay in alignment with your authentic and happy and higher self. Seek always to feel satisfied and content where you are at any moment.
