What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wrote Misfit Toys for my real life Survivors' Club, my grandmother and her high school class. It's a story about the crazy moments we call life, and the beauty that can be found only in the chaos. Ultimately, it's a story of family dynamics, too.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My characters were very much inspired by my own family and friends. Exaggerated, of course, because hey, this IS fiction.
