I bring you my story. This book is for anyone who has endured any trauma from abuse and how easy it is to heal the wrong way. You will learn the right ways to heal internally. As a Domestic Violence Survivor, I had kept my past a secret from many. I had put on a smile to hide my pain and kept a distance from those who I felt could see through the facade. Eventually, I realized that my emotions were bigger than I could handle on my own and I decided to finally get honest with myself and others and tell my story. http://ridingemotions.blogspot.com/
This is a book about escaping the emotional prison to find freedom. Despite what has led you to shut out those around you, this book reminds us that we are not alone.

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
As a domestic violence survivor that suffered from depression as a result of the fear after my escape, it was hard to find stories from those like me. There are not many books that talk about life after abuse and the healing process. There are right ways and wrong ways to heal and I educate my readers on how to heal the right way.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Just write! When you have a story to tell you have to let it flow. Don’t edit as you go-you can do that later. My book would have been three times as long if I hit publish after I wrote the book. I let out all I wanted to say then went back later to organize my thoughts and words.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This is my personal story of healing after escaping an abusive relationship. I healed the wrong way by shoving my past down until the weight of it broke me years later. I needed to tell my story so that victims, survivors and family of those trapped in abuse know that there is a way out, healing is tough and they are not alone.
