What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
The first thing you need to do is to begin writing the book. Some people say they will but never got down to it, some are waiting for “the right time”, etc. There will always be a million self-made excuses on why we put on hold what we want really want to do. Take a look at your life now, is there a knowledge you have that you think will bring value or be of interest to others? That could be what your book subject is about. Another thing that is important is discipline. Once you start on the book,make sure you have the discipline to continue working on it, page by page, chapter by chapter until it finishes. You need to work hard at getting the finished product out, then next is figuring out about the marketing part (yup it doesn’t stop there though trust me, its really really fun!).

Marrilyn S.H. Tong lives in Byron Bay, Australia and was born in Singapore.
She began writing articles about love related topics for a wedding website in 2000, giving intuitive counselling to people allexperts.com and started her first business in web/graphic design in 2002 when she was 20 years old. Throughout the years of her adulthood she gained interests in self-development, alternative healing and topics on spirituality hence went on to learn Reiki healing, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Landmark Forum, even had informal Life Coach Training lessons plus a few more techniques from various healers.
Marrilyn has also been invited to contribute her articles on the Singapore Business Review website.
