What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Using devotionals I had written over the years for our website, I expanded upon these with the desire to help others learn to not just read a devotion each day, but to help them learn how to go further into what was read by doing some simple "digging" on their own. Training to do topical studies in the Bible

WEEK 10 DAY 4 "JUMP START"
HE WATCHES OVER YOU
Have you ever experienced someone staring at you? I have. When that has occurred; it makes one feel rather uncomfortable and our first thoughts going to, "Is there something wrong in what I am doing or my appearance?" There are even some who may have others watching their every move and they don't even know it. We call that spying (for a variety of reasons).
There is one constant vigil I do welcome in my life and that is the one the Psalmist mentions in Psalm 121:5 (NIV) "The Lord watches over you." The KJV uses the words "He is our keeper." The word keeper means to watch over or guard in the sense of preserving or protecting. His eye being upon us, watching over us is a very good thing, and He doesn't hide it from us or leave us wondering why. Let's take a look at why this is.
To the one who is walking with Him, this should bring a sense of security in knowing we will be protected by the Almighty. He knows what is coming even when we are unaware and is not surprised by any detail of our lives.
His eyes are upon those who follow Him for the purpose of instructing and counsel (Psalm 32:8) We don't always know how to make the wisest choices. Therefore, it is at those times we need counsel and wisdom when it comes down to the important decisions that could affect our lives or the lives of others. He does not desire harm to come to us by causing us to make the wrong choices or leave the decision up to us. He desires to be involved and wants for us to depend upon Him during those times. To the one who is continually submitted and obedient, God promises to show that person the right way to go (Psalm 25:12) according to His purposes and plans.
His eyes being upon us are not for the purpose of hoping that we will "mess up." His eyes are on us because of love, compassion, and a deep caring for whatever may transpire in our lives. He is a Shepherd Who cares about each one of His sheep. "The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love (Psalm 147:11). I might add, and all those who desire His constant eye to be upon them. That doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, but rather it brings to me a peace.
