What inspired you to write your book?
This is the true story of a horse I loved when I was a child. I was shy and awkward, and the horse saved me emotionally.
About your Book:
Joe, an ugly and unloved horse trusts no one. And no one trusts him. Until Vicky. This is the story of a troubled horse, and the little girl who loved him. Based on the true adventures of her childhood fifty years ago, the author’s horse, Joe, teaches the lesson that sometimes beauty is not skin-deep, but heart deep, and that the unloved have much to show us about the true nature of love.
This number one best seller is the first of a series, and book four due out in early 2016.
Book Genre: nonfiction, horse book
What formats are your books in
eBook, Print, Both eBook and Print
How do you see writing a book in the Pet Genre as different from writing other genres of books?
You have to really understand the pet you are writing about. One of the reader comments I received (that I so appreciate) is my animals are very realistically portrayed. You can’t do that if you don’t love animals and know them.
Advice to someone that is thinking about or currently working on a pet book
Know the animal really well. People who write about animals without a good knowledge of them are not convincing, in my opinion.
How did you decide how to publish your book and where is it published through:
Self published through KDP and Createspace. I love the control!
Author Bio:
I have written seventeen books (and counting), all with God at their core. My desire is to write books that I would want to read. Thus, they are clean, inspirational, with transcendent messages that make me want to be better than I am.
