This is the true story of two extraordinary birds. They came into my life when I least expected it and taught me a lot about sharing, loving, and giving. These exquisite birds have been in my heart ever since and now I want to immortalize them forever. I hope I have succeeded in bringing them back to life with this story. I hope they will thrill, move and delight you as they once delighted me.
Beatrice Brusic was born in Oruro, Bolivia. Her mother brought her to La Paz, Bolivia when she was five years old. She emigrated to America when she was seventeen years old and has earned her living as a legal assistant, always dreaming of writing full time. “Beyond the Snows of the Andes” now on the Kindle and paperback is a fulfillment of that dream. Always a voracious reader, she finally made the transition from reader to writer five years ago when the memoir first began to take root. Throughout the years she’s received positive reinforment of her passion for writing in her numerous attempts to express herself, but it took a great writer like Frank McCourt to finally break through the inhibitions that were holding her prisoner. I hope you’ll enjoy her memoir. I hope you’ll take from it hope and courage for whatever endeavor you want to take in your life.
“Jill & Mickey, A True Story” is a short story about an extraordinary bird that is sweet and tender and should appeal to all animal lovers, not just bird lovers.
