How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
The core features of noir are black humor, terse dialogue and description of a sophisticated society with an underbelly of corruption and desperate citizens. You need only scratch the social surface to unleash violence, greed and lust. A murder mystery, evil or eccentric characters and a stunningly beautiful woman are never too far away when you enter the urban jungle.

I am an Australian journalist who writes by the day and by the night. My books include the comedy crime novel Iraqi Icicle, the funny short stories 7 Shouts and the soon to be released Naughty Nineties through Kindle Books.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?I have always been an admirer of the noir novels of Chandler and Hammett and I wanted to create a neo-noir based around where I grew up in Brisbane, Australia.
