V. E. Campudoni always has a knack for seeing things from interesting and unusual angles and then sit back, relax and enjoy the view. He had written over twenty-three stories from long and short fiction including horror, paranormal, and action-adventure. The BDSM series The “Masked Emotions” is his personal favorite. He lives in Liverpool, N.Y. with his wife and five children. When he’s not writing, he enjoys reading, traveling, playing video games, and spending time with his family. He is also a film enthusiast and a true geek at heart.
What inspires you to write?
In all honesty, it’s always been a personal hobby. Things pop in my head and I write them down and they turn into fantastic stories.
Tell us about your writing process.
I sit down and it just comes to me and I go with the flow. My stories tend to flow out like a giant web and then they all connect in the end like an elaborate puzzle.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Yes, I talk to my characters. Sometimes I think I have multiple personality disorder.
What advice would you give other writers?
Never give up. If you believe in your story and in yourself you can make it. Also, accept criticism. Never be offended by it, never take to heart. Everyone has their own opinion and not everyone is going to like your story. However, learn from it. It helps you to hone your craft for the better.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I wanted to be a published author. Seeing my book with the company logo on the back or spine of the book. It feels great knowing that someone besides my family and friends like my story and they see promise.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I believe it’s always going to be there. Even with digital being as popular as it is. There are so many people who prefer print and it makes marketing and promoting less stressful when you have a team helping you.
