About Tiffany Flowers:
Tiffany Flowers is a paranormal romance author. She lives in a small town in Alabama, not far from where she was born, with her husband and three kids. She enjoys reading, writing, and anything to do with chocolate.
What inspires you to write?
My first book came to me as a dream. A very vivid and persistent dream. After I finally got the story down. It was like a WOW. So I write for that WOW feeling and for therapy. Anytime I can kill a person off as a character it saves me from jail. I also write because I want my stories to touch people and leave them wanting more.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am a let in come and the write type writer. I do not force it and I do not outline. If I did outline, I would end up just rewriting it because my characters never do what I want.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Yes and Yes. I have entire conversations in my head and sometimes out loud.
What advice would you give other writers?
Editors are your best friend. Well really they are like the best friend you love to hate. Find one that is brutally honest and listen, but do not let them take your voice.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I did what was best for me. I can not be put on a deadline. I don’t write like that. I want the say in my books. I would love the advertisement that comes with a publisher, but none of the other stuff.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I don’t know. We as indies are strong. We prove that everyday.
