What inspires you to write?
I am inspired by life as I see it. I am fascinated by the minor details that compromise our day-to-day endeavors as human beings. I can be inspired by a sight I see, a person I may meet or things of that sort. I believe that if a thought pops into my head, there's a good reason that thought needs to be shared. Well, nine times out of ten anyway.
Tell us about your writing process.
I think of thoughts, jot them down and expand on them when I sit down at night. At night, for the most part, I put my thoughts down on paper and see where they will take me in terms of creating believable characters and a storyline.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I love my characters, for the most part and put myself in their position. What would I do if I were them? I listen to them because I believe in them and see where they tell me to take their story.
What advice would you give other writers?
It's a tough business but work on your craft. If you do, the sky is the limit. I haven't reached the sky but with fierce determination, I truly believe it's a definite possibility. Never give up as clichéd as it may sound.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I self published my books through Amazon's convenient CreateSpace, now known as Kindle Direct Publishing I believe. I think this gives me creative flow and easy access to getting my books out there.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I still believe in books. People who commute on public transportation need something to read! Also, sometime you don't feel like watching television where everything is mapped out for you. You feel like something unique and writing is definitely unique.
