What inspires you to write?
I have always loved to write from a young age so it came natural to me when I got a little more serious about writing books or stories. I get inspired by poetry and read too much Bukowski but I don’t think you can get enough. I am an avid reader as well so that gives me ideas and with social media it allows me to collaborate with others which I enjoy.
Tell us about your writing process.
I don’t have a set plan but usually have the idea in my head then I start writing and see what happens.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
No, I have enough voices in my head already
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep writing and do your thing, it’s a crowded market but don’t let that you discourage you if you love to write that’s all that matters.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I started self publishing first and did pretty good on promotions often hitting number one in several Kindle categories. I think the publishing game has changed and all you need is the desire to write of course that can be good and bad with a saturation of books and authors but it’s so easy today to get your work out there.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think in a way it is swinging back to more of a traditional approach as in physical books are getting popular again but they never really left obviously but ebooks are huge as well. I don’t know for sure but anyone can publish today so in the future maybe robots will write my next book most likely a paranormal romance because that market isn’t crowded enough.
