About Tattness Madden:
A 32 year old Canadian artist, I find inspiration from music, art, people and life’s crazy situations.
What inspires you to write?
Observations are my muse. Truth is often stranger than fiction. Taking an infuriating situation and spinning it into a way to make people laugh is my writing style. Life can’t always be all “Gloom and Doom” that’s no way to live.
Tell us about your writing process.
I stay hopped up on COPIOUS amounts of coffee and zero sleep until I can’t think of a thing to say.
What advice would you give other writers?
Have fun with it. If writing it bores you, reading it will likely have the same effect on the reader.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I’m my own promoter and publisher, the way I see it is: Who’s going to believe in your vision as strongly as you do? YOU are the one who struggles with writer’s block, lack of inspiration, self doubt, second guessing and it’s YOU that pulls through it. Why let someone else make money off YOUR struggle?
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think with technology advancing every day, self publishing is going to be dominant. E-readers are the iPods of reading, and publishers and agents are the CD industry.
