About Silor Stone:
I am from the south and I live near the coast. I enjoy sports, going to church, wine, beer and many other things.
I like to sit in the back of nice bars and watch people interact. I like to explore. I like the loudness and the excitement of big cities and the beauty of the outdoors and I like to be near water and mountains. I like to listen to music and I love to be quiet and listen for God. I love to look at paintings. I like talking to artists of all mediums. I love to read late into the night then walk outside and look up to the stars and clear my mind before going to bed. I could go on for a long time here…
What inspires you to write?
I’m inspired by the interaction of men and women with each other and also with the universe around them.
I think the human story is beautiful, inspiring, sad, bittersweet, heroic and overflowing with meaning.
I try to make the drama of a man and a woman falling in love come alive for my readers.
Tell us about your writing process.
I sit down at a computer and type until I’m exhausted. Then I rest and start again. I don’t stop until what I’ve written is the best I can make it.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I don’t; they live full lives in my head though while I’m writing about them.
What advice would you give other writers?
It never gets easier but the writing gets better the more you do it.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I self publish because the process of going through an agent and the publishing company takes forever. I like to write a book then download and publish.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think there will be a convergence of all the arts to the point that everyone will be able to express what is in their hearts to the world one day very soon.
