About Sasha James:
Sasha James was born on November 24, 1984 in Greensboro, North Carolina, she has written several poems and short stories, however Sentience is her first novel.
What inspires you to write?
My parents and my sister, they are daily inspirations for my writing
Tell us about your writing process.
When writing, I usually try to listen to music that fits into the genre or scene that I’m writing in, it helps me to write the story better and to really get into the zone of the scene(s).

What advice would you give other writers?
Just to write everyday, no matter if it’s writing just about how your day went, if you get into the habit of writing everyday, it’s great practice for exercising your writing skills and creative skills.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to go through self publishing because I felt it would be easier and it would give me the opportunity to have my story presented to the world in the way I felt it best to.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think the future of book publishing will be self publishing, you’re going to find more and more people moving away from going to agents and publishers, they’re going to self publish on their own and be very successful.
