Author Bio:
I was born in Houston, Texas in 1982. Moved to Shreveport, Louisiana from 1985-1992, then back to Texas. I graduated High school in 2000 with a National Merit Scholarship. I was in a bad car wreck at the end of 2000 that left me in a coma for 6 months.
Now I live at my step-mother’s donkey ranch in central Texas where I try to spend a bit of time writing every day. At the time of this writing, I am mostly interested on spending time with Science-fiction or Fantasy stories.
What inspires you to write?
Truly, just about anything that can capture my attention and leave me thinking becomes an inspiration.
Tell us about your writing process.
I usually have quite simplified notes with a single line of text for what I want to write each day. I feel that my stories come out better if I make myself sit back and think of what I’ve written before I continue on, yet I have to stop myself from changing the beginnings of my story too drastically before I finish it (doing such a thing destroys the natural feeling flow).
I never write with music playing because that distracts me. I make an effort to spend part of each day not writing or else I start to lose touch with reality. I can rarely work at PR for my books because I find that boring and would rather spend the time writing or reading.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I just watch what they do. Most are unaware of me, yet a select few will argue their own reality, or runamuch before I can stop myself from writing down what they have done.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write because you like to. If you don’t enjoy what you are writing, you need to write somthing else.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to self-publish because I didn’t want someone else’s criticism to reshape my writing into something that wasn’t mine.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Unless somehow all electricity is sapped out from the Earth, eBooks are the future!
What genres do you write?
Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Paranormal
What formats are your books in?
eBook
