What inspires you to write?
Songs inspire me to write. I know it may sound funny but this is the truth. When I am listening to a soft, romantic number, all I’m doing is fantasizing stories in my head.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process is extremely simple. When I was writing my first book, Undying Affinity, I used to sit at night and then work on the story. The brilliant ideas come at night. During the day I was busy with my studies so it was hard for me to pen down the book at that time. At night, I was apparently free and there were little distractions. So that’s the time I found most suitable for writing.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I interact with my characters in my head.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write, write and write. If you are in love with the idea of writing, then just write. Do not get scared of not finishing your book on time. You have loads of time to complete it. The idea is to start writing and never stop the process.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I tried my luck with traditional publishing but failed. There were a few small traditional publishers in India but I couldn’t publish my book with them as they required me to invest. Investing in a book was not a problem with me. Actually I wanted to publish my book within my own country. Therefore, I decided to self-publish the book via Createspace, Amazon. They work really good.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
The future of book publishing seems bright. It is already on boom. Lots of emerging writers are writing brilliant stories and sharing them worldwide.
What genres do you write?: Romance
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
