Author Bio:
Sannel Larson is a children’s books writer and illustrator. She also writes poetry and dabble in nature photography. Ms. Larson lives in a small cottage in the forest by the sea in Sweden.
What inspires you to write?
I find the beautiful surroundings and the peacefulness an inspiration to my writing and drawing, which continues to develop and grow. As a writer, I thrive off the beauty nature has to offer, and have used it as inspiration for many of my poems, as well as in my illustrations.
Tell us about your writing process.
I never plan my stories or my characters. They kind of take shape on my drawing pad or as soon as I start to write. My imagination has always worked better if nothing is planned. I know if it will be a story or not after the first few lines.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I am secretly listening to the private conversation of my characters, while the words flows from my fingers.
What advice would you give other writers?
Read and write as much as you can, and write about what you love and know well.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Some of my author friends had published their books with publishers, and they were not satisfied.That made up my mind to self publish my books.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I believe we will see more and more self-published books in the future.
