I am currently working on book 2 of my Halcyon Isle series, along with a few others as well. Born near Philadelphia Pennsylvania, I am the first generation born here in America on my mother’s side. My grandmother, mother and uncle all arrived at Ellis Island Christmas Eve in the early 1950’s.
When I was younger I had the opportunity to travel to Germany, and other surrounding countries. Taking boat rides down the Rhine River, train rides through the Black forest, and my number one favorite place Neuschwanstein Castle, and I have dreamed of returning there ever since I left many years ago. Ever since then I have had an interest in almost anything involving Castles. and just the basic outrageousness they portray.
What inspires you to write?
What inspires me to write is the fact that there are no rules. What I see and dream in my mind can become reality. Also the pure adrenalin involved in finishing a book, inspires me to search inside myself to write more.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process is fairly simple, I go with what I am feeling, reread later and edit. When I am stuck I usually look away from my work and return to it later.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I wouldn’t say I talk to my characters, I envision them speaking with each other, to see what feels right as far as story line and dialog.
What advice would you give other writers?
I would advise other authors to go with what you feel inside yourself. There is no right or wrong.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to self publish using different websites. And to promote my books in my own way and on my time and dime.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
We are in the future of book publishing, it will only get better and easier from here.
