What inspires you to write?
I'm a HUGE people watcher. I love to go out in public and imagine the private lives of the people I see. The secret lives that they might be hiding, etc.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
I have a wide variety, but my favs are, in no certain order, Jane Fox (I love the Zaftig Dating Agency Series!), Tarin Lex, Kali Hart, Becky Brandt, to name a few.
Tell us about your writing process.
When inspired, I don't tend to be a linear writer. I have the story arc in my mind and tend to create the different scenes in random order and then combine and connect them to create the flow of the story.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Absolutely! When I start a project, I have a general idea of the story arc and tend to play thing s out in my mind like a movie. I listen to the characters and savor their experiences.
What advice would you give other writers?
Do it! Writing should be a passion but there is also a business side of things as well. Both are extremely important and much patience is necessary.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
As a new author, I was intimidated by the possibility of publishing. This is a new world that I've wanted to explore for some time. I've written for personal pleasure for a long time and finally took the plunge!
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I'm very excited about the possibilities that lay ahead. The romance market is has a lot to offer to readers and writers alike!
