Supernatural Mad Scientist for hire! As a woman obsessed with my research and in love with all things sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal, I took a giant leap into the literary world. I don’t do dull, slow paced or extreme detail writing. My stories are full of action, love, and deception.
I was raised by wolves, my middle name is Danger, and I believe my midi-clorian count is higher than Darth Vaders.
When I take a break from writing, I spend my time daydreaming of Dimitri Belikov and masterminding my plans to get Thor, the God of Thunder, alone in my room. (Shh, don’t tell my husband)

Reyna Pryde lives in Indianapolis, IN, USA with her husband and her small Star Wars collection. She spends her days extensively researching all things Sci fi, fantasy, and paranormal by way of television, reading, and web browsing; basically she watches way too much TV, reads too many books, and is addicted to the Internet.
What inspires you to write?
I think the better question is, what doesn’t inspire me! I get my inspiration from every person I meet down to all the random influences I come across while reading or watching fantasy.
Tell us about your writing process.
Honestly, my writing process is a bit wild and chaotic. I spend more time researching history for my books than I do writing. While all my books are fiction, I want to follow the past as much as possible. If readers took the time, they would learn that nearly all my characters were mentioned in some part of history, whether real or legendary, at some point in time. Even the more insignificant characters I write have a backstory. Half the time, I am plotting their backstories in my head to psychoanalyze the character and their actions.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Haha. I don’t talk to them but they certainly talk to me.
What advice would you give other writers?
Real advice- write!
Poetic advice- Every story began as someone’s dream. Dream on, even if you are awake.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I would suggest doing your research. I did and I discovered that traditional publishing was not for me. My stories are unique in a very popular genre. Traditional publishing wants something safe to back. I don’t believe I would have fit in their ‘safe’ category.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Unfortunately, I see traditional publishing fading away unless they make some big changes. Ebooks are the way of the future and I have mixed emotions about it. I love the smell and feel of real books!
