Author Bio:
By day, I work in the medical field as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I like working with elderly people to help them get back to a great quality of life following a surgery or illness.
I’m married with two kids and live in Middletown, CT. Life keeps me busy shuttling kids to practice, attending gymnastic meets, and attending soccer games.
I’ve been an avid reader for years and love contemporary romance, romantic suspense, historical romance, paranormal.
I received a kindle for my birthday a few years ago, and it opened a door to so many new authors. I’ve been encouraged to chase my dream of writing, too.
What inspires you to write?
People, articles in the newspaper
Tell us about your writing process.
I’m an outliner. I come up with the major premise for the story and then the characters seem to take over. I like to create character sketches during my writing.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I listen to my characters and the conversations they have with each other.
What advice would you give other writers?
It’s a lot of work and you have to be passionate about it. Do it because you love it. I’ve been encouraged by all the new authors that have tried and made a success of it. Realize that all good things take time.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Do lots of research. And remember that once you publish your book, it’s still not over. There is a lot of marketing involved in getting people aware that your book exist.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think the future of book publishing will continue to do well, especially with the e-readers.
