About Rajashree Srivastava:
I am a 24-year-old scholar from India currently pursuing my research in Psychology. I have nothing much to tell about myself. This book is one of my first achievements. Writing has always been an obsession for me and reading an everyday ritual.
What inspires you to write?
Everything is an inspiration, words constantly play rugby in my mind.
Tell us about your writing process.
I never outline, I just write whatever comes to my mind at first. It’s more like a word vomit actually!
I go with the flow.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
No! (smirks awkwardly) I day dream to a pathological level, i LIVE with them 🙂
What advice would you give other writers?
One must keep writing for the love and passion of writing. It may or may not become your primary source of income but always keep a backup; both for readers and income.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I went through the traditional route and the process was frustrating. At last, when some big publishing house did revert back, well, they gave me a condition of sharing the cost of publishing when I realised how tough it is if you are a first-time author. Thus I decided to go for independent publishing, that would at least get me to my readers; a source I lacked previously.
Nonetheless one must at first try the traditional route (a lot less headache..errr…. money!)
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Traditional is good but I guess self-publishing will see better days.
What genres do you write?: Historical mysteries and Legends, Paranormal Romance
