About Rachel Dool:
Rachel started her career as a Physiotherapist in Australia and loved working in that profession for 10 years. A move to Holland saw her take a new direction into Customer Service, Communication and Business Process (Lean) Improvement. In 2014, Rachel started her own business as a Virtual Assistant, studied to become a blog assistant and undertook many hours of training to become more skilled in Social Media, Digital Marketing and WordPress. Rachel published her first books in 2015 “Social Media Savvy” to help small businesses and start-ups with Social Media.
She loves the freedom her own business offers her and balances work with family and a love of Yoga and travel (if only!).
What inspires you to write?
I have always been a voracious reader and admire writers immensely with their ability to transport a reader to another time and place. As a non-fiction writer, I hope that my books will inspire readers to take action and will have a positive impact on their enterprises.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am a perfectionist and can’t tell you how many rewrites I did! After sketching out a rough draft on paper, I tend to just jump in and start.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I have as mentor who really encouraged me to publish these books and for that I’m grateful. I wrote the books and then had someone reformat them for Kindle e-books. I paid to have a cover created and then I published via Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) and found the process to be very straightforward.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
The sky’s the limit – knowledge and the sharing of it are endless especially in the digital world we live in.
