About PB Hawks:
Brooklyn, New York is where I took my first breath. The family that took me home are Italian Catholic’s. At the age of seventeen I enlisted in the U.S, Army and spent three years learning nothing but leadership. I came home continued my education and studied architecture. After fifty years in architecture, I moved to Oregon, where I live with my beautiful wife. I began writing because I wanted to tell a story about how the Christian church is abusing the Holy Spirit (The book is called “The Visitor”) it is about how the church is putting this great gift from God and hiding Him so He can’t be seen and what a good job they are doing. My next book is about a church who accepts the Holy Spirit and the benefits that come to them(Can You Hear Rhe Holy Spirit).
What inspires you to write?
I was born to an Italian family from Brooklyn, New York, We were Catholic and I lived that way until the age of thirty-Five at that time a good friend told me about Jesus Christ and I became a believer. I write to show everyone about the beauty of with Jesus.
Tell us about your writing process.
I come up with s story and begin to write and I always find the character’s and build the story around them. I am new at writing, I worked and lived architect for over fifty years (encluding schooling).
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I try to live the characters life as i write.
What advice would you give other writers?
I am new at writing so I don’t have much advice to give except to write every day and believe in yourself.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I believe you should publish with the one who gives you the most control of your writing. As a newcomer who does not have much money, self-publishing might be the best way until you have enough income flow. If you should have money in the beginning I would still self-publish and enjoy the money you make from well written Book. After that, you can pick a good publisher.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I see more and more books being self-published today from unknown authors. When you consider the cost, self-publishing makes more sense. So the amazon Kindle experience will grow even faster as years go by.
What genres do you write?: Christian Fiction
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
