About Paul Halbeck:
Having worked in the technology field for over 25 years, I made a huge career change and came to Colorado Springs to go to a Bible school. Having also worked in their prayer line for 8 years, I then felt led to focus entirely on writing. I begin to use the written Word as my example and when your subject is also your interest writing becomes pretty natural. I believe you will not only enjoy my writings, but that they will also be beneficial to you.
What inspires you to write?
After going through a Bible school and then working on their phone (prayer) line for 8 years. I felt a calling and saw a need to let other know about the wonderful and powerful Word of God.
Tell us about your writing process.
I first use an outline of points to address, and then I start writing, (until I get it right) :-). I will typically come back to what I wrote a month or two latter to see if it still flows or needs further editing or rewriting.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Wow: is this one far out, I am glad I don't have that problem :-).
What advice would you give other writers?
its rewarding and as you continue writing you get better at it.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I started my first writing just for myself somewhat like a journal. When the work got over 40,000 words, combined with other factors too, I knew it was meant to be a book. What I encourage new writers is to stay with it, it can be a journey just in itself.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
There are a lot of books out there, the market place is changing much with digital print. But, I believe there will always be a demand for well written books.
What genres do you write?: Chistian living,
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
