What inspires you to write?
I like to share ideas, experiences, and to listen to other people's comments or suggestions. This attitude has helped me to be a better writer and listener.
Everybody has a story to tell to make the world a better place. Don't sit on that story because it might help somebody who is on the verge of giving up in life.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
Pastor Chris
Apostle G Maldonado
David Oyedepo
Joyce Meyer
T D Jakes
F Dixion of the Hardy Boys detective
Joel Osteen
Gary Chapman
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process starts with prayer and fasting. Then, write down my ideas (draft). Most of the time, a chapter will be downloaded into mind then another until the whole book is completed. From there, I type what I have written into my computer and edit, proofread four times with the help of my family members and friends. They are more than welcome to comment or come up with suggestions. Then, hire, a professional to proofread, edit, design book cover for me. Then, publish my book after prayer because I believe that I must commit everything I do unto the Lord.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Yes, I do. Most of the time I gather people around and rehearse my fiction stories as a group, playing different characters. This makes characters look real or relatable, gives me the platform to get feedback from them and correct my writing where possible.
What advice would you give other writers?
One step backward is a preparation for a giant leap.
Never give up
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I tried to find an agent but failed. Then, one day one of my best friends introduced me to self-publishing my books. One day, I discovered Fiverr and used them ever since to polish them.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Self-publishing has made life easier because today technology has turned the world into a global village. Customers sit in front of computers in the comfort of their homes, order books online and within a few weeks, they collect it at the post office. To make matters interesting, you can buy an eBook online and download it, According to me the future of mortar bookstores, traditional book publishers will be affected.
