About Octavia Wildwood:
I love to write about bad boys with hearts of gold and the good girls who fall for them! Their chemistry is undeniable, the sexual tension is through the roof and they’re made for one another. Eventually they figure it out and live happily ever after!
When I’m not busy writing, I spend time with loved ones, watch a ton of movies and indulge in my favorite hobby: baking!
What inspires you to write?
I’ve been writing since I was a kid. Back then I used to scribble in a notebook for hours on end – my poor hand! Now I sit at the computer for much of the day, alternating between writing and watching cute cat videos on YouTube. It’s a great job!
Tell us about your writing process.
When I get an idea for a book, I like to jot down a quick and dirty (heh heh) outline. Then when I start writing, I usually disregard the outline completely. I’m always surprised by the things my characters say and do – sometimes it’s like they have minds of their own!
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I don’t talk to my characters, but I frequently talk to inanimate objects…
What advice would you give other writers?
Don’t be discouraged! Do what you love and love what you do.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I love self-publishing! I’m a bit of a control freak, so being able to micromanage every aspect of my books from titles to content to covers makes me happy.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I certainly hope self-publishing remains lucrative for years to come. I’m grateful every day that I’m able to write for a living – it really is the best job in the world!
