About Nina Schluntz:
Nina Schluntz is a native to rural Nebraska. In her youth, she often wrote short stories to entertain her friends. Those ideas evolved into the novels she creates today.
Her husband continues to ensure her stories maintain a touch of realism as she delves in the science fiction and fantasy realm. And their kitty, a rescued Abyssinian, is always willing to stay up late to provide inspiration.
What inspires you to write?
My fallback authors are Stephen King and Dean Koontz, but after I got my kindle I became a sucker for the .99 cent books, which helped me discover the m/m romance novels, and later start writing them myself as I realized not everyone was getting the happy ending they should in those books. The bad guy deserves to be happy too!
Tell us about your writing process.
“Nosy Neighbors” I thought about how curious people are when they get new neighbors and how they always gossip. I figure this is even worse when it’s a gay couple moving in. I took this idea, added a dash of paranormal and boom, we have “Nosy Neighbors!”
What advice would you give other writers?
Keep writing. The more you do it, the better you’ll get. If you find yourself with writers block, take a break and go read some books, often you’ll find inspiration in them to help you out.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I was scribbling stories in notebook before I could read or write. I would later get frustrated because I couldn’t decipher my scribbles!
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Goodreads and Amazon-getting people to give me reviews. Its all about reviews these days.
