About Nicole Benoit-Roy:
Nicole Benoit-Roy is an award-winning author of the 2012 Sharp Writ Book Awards for her first book, JESUS LOVES EVERYBODY: ESPECIALLY ME. She is a wife, mother, and preschool special education teacher. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at Andrews University, MI.
As a mother, she has faced hardship while raising my son, due to lack of biblical knowledge. As a result of that, she is committed and driven to reforming Christian education. She is very much familiar with the struggle and frustration common to families wanting to train up their children in the way that they should go. So, as a literature evangelist, right now she is pursuing her life-mission, which is to lead people to discover their identity in Christ through Christian education.
Her faith in God is because of time spent with her grandmother. She was a converted Christian who taught her, in particular, how to pray. She read the Bible in her presence and took her to church. Nicole is grateful for her grandmother until this day. She was a happy and funny grandma, always singing and praising God. She taught her that too.
So far, she has written 7 books and 4 more are on the way.
What inspires you to write?
My love for teaching Early Childhood Literacy and witnessing for Jesus inspired me to do just that through the JESUS LOVES EVERYBODY book series.
Tell us about your writing process.
I imagine, sleep, then write. Sketches come later.
What advice would you give other writers?
If being an author is what you want, then write. If you don’t have time to write, write anyway.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I searched for the different ways to do it and I chose the self-publishing route because the process is easier and faster.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think book publishing will be around forever; however, the way readers read will be different with the way technology is increasing.
