About Luis A. Colon:
Luis A. Colón is a screenwriter, filmmaker, and fiction writer. He has worked as a grip for numerous independent films and has written and directed several short films that can be seen on the internet. Mr. Colón has written three screenplays in three different genres: Action, Drama, and Sci-Fi. He resides in Queens, NY with his wife, son and their rabbit. This is his first novel.
What inspires you to write?
The ability to create stories that entertain with enjoyable characters is what inspires me to write.
Tell us about your writing process.
I begin my writing process by doing some outlining, but not much. I write little bits whenever I have an idea for a story. I write on my laptop, desktop, my phone, and some ideas I jot down on little papers whenever possible.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
This is the question that makes people look at you and say “You are crazy”. I’m constantly talking to myself as I try to channel my characters while I’m writing them.
What advice would you give other writers?
The only advice I have is to write a lot.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I came across Createspace.com a while ago, and it seemed like a great way for a first time author like myself to get my book out there.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think digital books is the future for all books.
