About Legend Brook:
Hello! I work full time, so writing is more of a hobby than a job. That being said, I take great pride in my writing and absolutely love the escape it gives me from every day life! All of my work is written within the same “universe”, if you will. This just means that after I’ve written all I intend to, you’d be able to set the stories up and create a time line for the fictional “Amser Universe” I’m creating.
What inspires you to write?
What inspires me to write are images and music that remind me of my fictional worlds/characters. When I see or hear something that makes me think of them, my fingers just can’t seem to stop typing!
Tell us about your writing process.
Because my work is all within the same universe- I typically start a novel by looking at my “blueprint” for the Amser Universe. There I have general outlines for stories and a majority of the connections my novels need to make in order for readers to be able to piece the stories together. Once I have that, it’s all just a matter of going with the flow and writing any minute I get the chance.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Originally, I never intended to dish out a novel, much less attempt to publish one. However, as the story pieced itself together, I realized I REALLY wanted other people to see what I came up with- much like a toddler who wants their painting up on the fridge!
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think as time goes on publishing a book will only get easier. So, naturally, more people will start to publish. I believe this is great thing, because that just means we’ll all get a chance to look into the crazy worlds even the most timid of writer’s can come up with- and that’s just awesome.
