About Laymon Scott:
Laymon Scott is a native of Philadelphia who has lived extensively in Los Angeles and Nashville. When he is not writing he is out on the golf course or playing tennis. He and his wife live in Atlanta.
What inspires you to write?
I enjoy telling stories. It’s as simple as that. My taste in storytelling goes with what I know, mixed with what I think readers are interested in.
Tell us about your writing process.
I’m a seat of the pants writer. I don’t know where the story is going to take me.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I just try and listen to their voices.
What advice would you give other writers?
Write and read.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I never considered looking for a publisher. It’s based on control and slightly based on being rejected.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
A gradual shift to more self-publishing.
What genres do you write?: Suspence and romance.
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
