Lakyshia shelton born September 21 1988, iin Pahokee Fl but raised in Clewiston Fl to the parents Mary & Lorenzo Shelton .
Lakyshia is the youngest of her siblings and mother of two sons.
In 2013 Lakyshia self published her first book and has since went on to publish 12 books via CreateSpace.
What inspires you to write?
I am inapired to write because of my children and as a way to stay out of trouble.
It gives me a reason to stay focus and a passion that I love.
Tell us about your writing process.
I love to read and write and I use everyday life situations for my writing as far as my feeling, anger etc.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters in my fiction books are one who I probably known for quite awhile and I know the situation beforehand but I dont use they name I replace it with a made up name and leave the actual story the same.
What advice would you give other writers?
Always believe in yourself and your work even if no one else believes in you.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
It's cheaper to self publish so I decided to take the self publishing route.

What genres do you write?: Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, self help…etc
