About Karen Rouillard:
I love to write and having that short time to bring the story to life. The ability to step out of the world that consumes us and take us into another world. I live in the country with my husband, three children and the two dogs. There is nowhere else I would rather be. I hope you enjoy the stories that I write.
What inspires you to write?
The stories are there and they come out as soon as my fingers touch the screen. I guess it must be the passion to write that is inside me that makes me love it so much.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am totally a seat of the pants writer. I start with the story and it comes to life as i write.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
No I don’t. I feel like I’m there with them as I write.
What advice would you give other writers?
Just put your fingers to the keys and just write. Let the story out.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
At first I went the traditional way and got totally ripped off. I gave up writing for a while because I was discouraged because I couldn’t afford to keep it up. Then my mentor introduced me to indie writing and I haven’t looked back.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it will turn into a indie world with all the technologies out there now.
What genres do you write?: Romance, fantasy and nonfiction
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
