Author Bio:
Jocelyn Paonita is a recent college graduate with zero student loans. Not only was her college bill paid for but she actually got paid to go to school.
As the first in her family, she had to figure out the scholarship process on her own. Now that she has completed the process successfully, she wants to help other students and their families do the same. The first step is writing The Scholarship System.
What inspires you to write?
My passion to help students and their families make college affordable. The first step in doing so is publishing The Scholarship System. The next step will be having seminars, webinars and other forms to work with them.
Tell us about your writing process.
I used ‘mind-mapping’ to write this book. I created webs with all my ideas and then turned the webs into outlines. This helped me write the book efficiently while including all my ideas.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I wanted to be able to get my book in as many students’ and families’ hands as possible, as quick as possible. I knew Amazon would be the perfect way to do that. Additionally, I knew I would be able to give it away for free for some time.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I do not believe physical books will disappear. We all like to have a physical book in our hands now and then. However, I do think online ebooks will become more and more common with time.
