What inspires you to write?
My readers and all the craziness life offers.
What authors do you read when you aren’t writing?
In the realm of nonfiction I have to say that I adore:
Joy Adamson
Ishmael Bea
and Sybil Leek
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process has changed over the years. I used to write at random, but after almost a decade in the industry I find that setting certain goals, limits, and rules keeps my projects on track.
What advice would you give other writers?
Learn as much as you can about your craft. Get to know what makes a book readable and write to your readers. They are the only ones who really matter.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Traditional publishing has given me the opportunity to reach a wide audience across the globe. The smaller gigs are fun because you gain more control, but they are also much more demanding.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It's an odd time to be a writer. Everyone thinks they can write a book, but barely half even finish. Publishing will always have a future but how books reach readers shifts based on their needs.
What genres do you write?: Nonfiction, children's, spec fic
What formats are your books in?: Both eBook and Print
