About Jay Hidoshi:
Colorado Marijuana Real Estate is a new book by author Jay Hidoshi. It explains why Colorado marijuana real estate is an incredible investment. This book will also the explains the evolution of legal marijuana from 2001 to 2014. Equally important, it’s for all who are interested in how it became Colorado law. This book gives insight on Colorado marijuana real estate, both commercial and residential networks. This is not specifically a growing book but does provide some secrets of the Colorado marijuana dispensary. The author of this book was an owner of a medical marijuana dispensary. It sold seven years from purchase for over 300% more. This book will reveal things other books will not.
This book is the first of a series of real estate books. The next book will be called “Credit Scores and Real Estate.” It will be directed toward the first time buyer. The author has been called an entrepreneur but considers himself a teacher.
Being a survivor of the real estate crash of the 1990’s enforced the lesson that Americans will have to be a chameleon’s, not only with work but with investment portfolio’s as well.
What inspires you to write?
I like to write because i feel that i was fortunate to have good parents, teacher’s, coach’s and mentor’s. Entrepreneur’s may not be any of these, but hopefully they can try to give back to the community someday in someway. I never had an interest in computers until a certain age in life when my body was beat-up enough that i sat down one day and said it’s time for a computer job.
It is the youth of today that will someday be the future of the world.
The USA is a great country. Traveling to a third world country should be a requirement of american students sometime before high school graduation. The opportunities, education and ability to find a mentor in the USA are much easier to find than most other countries.
My first travel to a third world country inspired me to start my first small business when re-turning from my trip. I could easily see how much more opportunity american’s have and decided to take advantage.
Watching medical marijuana develop to legal marijuana was a lot of hard work and an evolution that took more than fifteen years. It was more than medical marijuana farmers that were activists. Much more. I was also inspired to write this book as an activist. Power to the people and politicians work for the people. Wake up USA.
Tell us about your writing process.
I would have to say that i am primarily an outliner author. I am a rebel at heart and will try to state radical things in my books, but i have been advised by people that read my books before they go to public.
I will outline before and during my writing. Most of the outline is done before writing. I will fine tune as i go. I will be done with outline after the second round of edit.
I always leave myself open for critique before a book goes to public. I will let select people that have an interest in the book and select people that have no interest in the book, read and critique the book before it goes to public.
What advice would you give other writers?
Createspace will be your best resource as a novice. You can get a great feel for the over-all writing process for the best price with createspace.
Marketing should be as big of a strategy as the writing process.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Self publish and take advantage of ALL the resources Createspace sells. When it comes to marketing you may want to create a budget.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I have never been a person to get up on a table and dance and sing that i know it all, because i do not. There are a lot of resources in this industry. I have only tried a scratch of them. Lots of the people working in this industry are self-employed and work as a one man/woman business at home. You have to feel them out and let your stomach make the decision much like all business. If your stomach says that you are not going to be satisfied then find someone else to do the work. Do not be in a hurry to make quick decisions. Smashwords has a large refer list. Ask other author’s for refer list.
